Bridging Management and Creativity

‍(Above, ‍Les ‍chairing ‍an ‍interdisciplinary ‍workshop ‍at ‍the ‍Young ‍Researchers ‍Conference, ‍Mongolia ‍(2016). ‍

‍How ‍can ‍we:

  • ‍• ‍Reimagineeducation ‍to ‍cross-over ‍between ‍management ‍and ‍the ‍arts? ‍
  • ‍• ‍Interface ‍higher ‍education ‍and ‍industry ‍that ‍mine ‍creative ‍thinking? ‍
  • ‍• ‍Innovatenew ‍curricula ‍that ‍train ‍creative ‍entrepreneurs? ‍
  • ‍• ‍Evolve ‍creativity ‍as ‍a ‍tool ‍for ‍executive ‍management ‍that ‍meets ‍the ‍needs ‍of ‍Entrepreneurs?
  • ‍• ‍Research ‍new ‍Curricula ‍and ‍Clusters ‍to ‍Foster ‍cooperation ‍between ‍art ‍and ‍business?

‍Working ‍with ‍like-minded ‍visionaries ‍in ‍the ‍arts ‍and ‍management

‍Trained ‍in ‍international ‍management ‍and ‍the ‍arts ‍I ‍seek ‍to ‍work ‍with ‍like-minded ‍visionaries ‍in ‍the ‍development ‍of ‍new ‍university ‍course ‍clusters ‍and ‍curricula ‍that ‍engage ‍culture, ‍art ‍and ‍entrepreneurship. ‍

‍Engaging ‍Entrepreneurship: ‍creativity, ‍innovation ‍and ‍problem ‍solving. ‍

‍One ‍of ‍the ‍principle ‍challenges ‍is ‍identifying ‍core ‍faculty ‍that ‍can ‍work ‍fluidly ‍across ‍management ‍and ‍the ‍arts. ‍Developing ‍this ‍cohort ‍we ‍can ‍innovate ‍novel ‍approaches ‍to ‍venture ‍design. ‍Today ‍the ‍business ‍school ‍model ‍is ‍flexing ‍its ‍muscles ‍with ‍design ‍thinking ‍but ‍we ‍need ‍to ‍move ‍forward ‍towards ‍immersive ‍creative ‍approaches ‍that ‍systematically ‍blend ‍artistic ‍cognitive ‍insight ‍with ‍applied ‍situations. ‍

‍I ‍envision ‍programs ‍that ‍will ‍examine ‍immersive ‍creative ‍approaches ‍in: ‍

  • ‍• ‍Leadership
  • ‍• ‍Change ‍Management
  • ‍• ‍Human ‍resource ‍development
  • ‍• ‍Organizational ‍Managment ‍
  • ‍• ‍Innovative ‍Team ‍processes
